Delete your SangatNow account

This page explains how to delete your SangatNow account and the data linked to it, what is removed, and what is kept.

Delete your account in the app

• Open SangatNow and go to the Profile tab.
• Scroll to Account Management and tap Delete Account.
• Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account and its data are removed immediately. This cannot be undone.

If you have an active subscription (Supporter or Business), deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or you will keep being charged.

Can't use the app?

Email contact@sangatnow.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and delete the account within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done.

What is deleted

• Your account, sign-in details, and profile (name, photo, bio, phone number)
• Events you posted, with their photos, RSVPs, comments, and likes
• Your RSVPs, saved events, likes, comments, and reports
• Your listings with their photos, saved listings, and listing views and contacts
• Your conversations and every message in them
• Gurdwaras and organizers you follow, and people following you as an organizer
• Your notifications, saved location, blocks, gurdwara claims, and gurdwara management roles

What is kept

• Gurdwara pages you added or edited. They are shared community information and stay in the directory.
• Crash reports. Keyed to your account ID, never your name or email. Firebase Crashlytics deletes them automatically after 90 days.
• Product analytics (PostHog: screens viewed, buttons tapped). Keyed to your account ID, never your name or email, so once your account is deleted they can no longer be linked to you. To have them deleted too, email contact@sangatnow.com and we will remove them within 30 days.
• Purchase records held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat, which they keep under their own policies for billing, tax, and legal reasons.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You can delete individual events, listings, comments, and your profile photo in the app at any time, and turn off analytics in Profile → Data & Privacy.
