Terms of Service & EULA — SangatNow

By creating an account or using SangatNow (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

1. Who can use SangatNow

You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your region) and able to form a binding agreement. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.

2. The service

SangatNow lets you discover, post, save, and RSVP to community events, and comment on them. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the events, comments, and other content you submit ("Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your Content within the App so it can function (e.g. showing your event to nearby users).

You're responsible for your Content and confirm you have the right to post it.

4. Community rules — zero tolerance for objectionable content

You agree not to post or do anything that is:

• unlawful, hateful, harassing, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory;
• sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable;
• spam, fraudulent, impersonating, or misleading (including fake events);
• infringing on others' intellectual property or privacy.

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.

5. Reporting, blocking, and enforcement

• You can report events, comments, or users from within the App.
• You can block users to stop seeing their content.
• We review reports and aim to act on objectionable content within 24 hours — including removing content and suspending or terminating accounts.

We may remove Content or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

6. Notifications & location

If you enable them, the App sends push notifications and uses your location to find nearby events, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disable either in your device or app settings.

7. Account deletion

You may delete your account in the App at any time, which removes your account and associated data from our systems.

8. Voluntary contributions & supporter subscription

The App is free to use. You may choose to leave an optional tip to support the app's individual developer and help cover the costs of running it. This is entirely voluntary.

• Not a purchase. A tip does not buy you the App, any feature, content, benefit, or priority. All features remain available whether or not you tip.
• Not a charitable donation. SangatNow is run by an individual and is not a registered charity or tax-exempt nonprofit (e.g. not a 501(c)(3)). Tips are not tax-deductible, and we do not issue donation or tax receipts.
• Processed by the app stores. Tips are made as in-app purchases through Apple's App Store or Google Play and are handled under their payment terms. Your receipt comes from Apple or Google, and the store deducts its standard commission before the remainder reaches the developer. We do not receive or store your card details.
• Non-refundable. Tips are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law or by the applicable app store's policy. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google, not by us.

Supporter subscription.

You may optionally subscribe to SangatNow Supporter to receive cosmetic extras — a supporter badge and profile ring, additional app themes, and custom event reminders. The App stays free and fully functional whether or not you subscribe.

• Auto-renewing. Supporter is an auto-renewable subscription offered as Monthly and Yearly options. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. It automatically renews at the same price and period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period continues until it expires.
• Price and period are shown in the App before you buy, in your local currency, and may vary by region. Any price change will be disclosed and will require your agreement before it takes effect.
• Processed by the app stores. Subscriptions are in-app purchases handled by Apple or Google under their payment terms; your receipt comes from them and the store deducts its standard commission. We do not receive or store your card details.
• Not a charitable donation and non-refundable except where a refund is required by law or the app store's policy; refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us.

You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to you in your jurisdiction.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Without limiting the foregoing:

• Events are user-submitted. We do not organise, host, endorse, verify, or supervise any event listed in the App. Times, locations, and details may be wrong, and events may be changed or cancelled without notice.
• Attendance is at your own risk. Anything that happens at or in connection with an event — including travel to and from it — is between you and the event organiser or venue.
• Other users are not vetted. We do not screen users or verify identities beyond the verification badges described in the App, and we are not responsible for users' conduct, on or off the App.
• Availability is not guaranteed. The App may be interrupted, delayed, or discontinued at any time.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• SangatNow is operated by an individual developer, not a company. That developer, together with any contributors, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or property damage, arising out of or relating to the App or any event listed on it — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
• The App is provided free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the App will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US $100). Any voluntary contributions you choose to make (see Section 8) are gifts toward running costs and are not a purchase of the App; they do not increase this limit.
• These limits apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SangatNow and its operator(s) from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your content, including comments, images, and event listings you post; (b) events you organise or attend; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

12. Dispute resolution — binding arbitration & class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.

• Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at the address in Section 14 and give us 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.
• Binding arbitration. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted in English, by a single arbitrator, in the county where you reside or remotely by videoconference. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
• Small-claims carve-out. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
• Class-action waiver. ALL DISPUTES MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE PARTIES' INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.
• Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us at the address in Section 14 within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name and that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
• Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute is found not subject to arbitration, it must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) must proceed in court, and the remainder of this section stays in effect.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give notice in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
